Centrifugal Services located in Raleigh IL is currently looking to hire a Machinist.
$1,000 sign-on bonus
The successful candidate for this position must possess the ability to make decisions on projects that are not only the best option for the client but most importantly the safest and most cost-effective solution for all parties involved.
Responsibilities and Duties
Responsible for independently setting up and operating one or more of the following operations:
Vertical Turret Lathes, Drill Press, and Surface Grinder.
Complete machine setup and make required adjustments to equipment to maintain compliance with quality standards.
Selects aligns and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on the machine.
Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut.
Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications as well as within the required tolerance +/- .005 to .010.
Collaborates with engineers, production personnel, maintenance, or others to resolve machining problems.
Qualifications and Skills
Must have a job shop/repair background,
Proficient lathe skills along with mechanical abilities,
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, control, and measurement plans, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
Ability to make jigs and fixtures to perform unconventional repairs,
Possess comprehensive knowledge of machining practices, measurement and evaluation skills, and tooling applications.
Ability to focus attention on details
